Whether you just want something simple green with a small flower here and there or you want to make a statement and have a crown FULL of big colorful blossoms, they make a beautiful statement. Real Wedding Sodo Park, Seattle | B&E Lucky in Love Blog

Living in Seattle, Shelly & Dave grew up loving the outdoors and all the wonders of the Evergreen State. They wanted to treat their family and friends to a unique Seattle wedding and decided it would be best to bring these wonders of the natural world into the rustic and open Sodo Park. With surreal floral arrangements, leafy greens hanging from the ceiling, and moss covered tables, they went all out on the decorations to bring the venue to life.

A little champagne was Shelly's choice for settling her nerves before seeing Dave for the first time, she even  had a little champagne bell to ring. As Dave waited to see his bride for the first time, he shared  the story of how they grew up 10 minutes apart, went to rival colleges, and eventually met through his twin sister on July 4th of 2012.

After the couple had seen each other for the first time, we set out to several locations around the town, including Pike Place and Kerry Park.   After returning to Sodo Park, Shelly was so happy to see her family who played a big part in helping create the special day. Both sides aided in the production of the photo booth wall made from hand, as well as formed an assembly line to finish the thank you gifts. This tightly knit family even went to dance classes to get ready for the special dances with their parents and each other - and we captured every wonderful moment with our photographs.

Shelly also shared a heartwarming story of how she was wearing her late grandmothers earrings as a tribute, because her grandmother had passed earlier in the year. I could see how her smile lit up as she reminisced. They even had their ring bearer carry the rings down the aisle on the same pillow she had made and used in her own wedding.

Weddings in Woodinville 2017 - Willows Lodge | B&E Lucky in Love Blog

"NW GOLDEN DELICIOUS" THEME FOR WEDDINGS IN WOODINVILLE 2017
AT WILLOWS LODGE WAS EASY AS PIE!

Event Success put together a wonderful team at Willows Lodge. "We had fun playing off the theme and apples were a fun NW item for the design", says Jacky Grotle owner of Event Success.
The photoshoot was just prior to the showcase where La Vie Photography "worked their magic" in capturing it all in their lovely images. The fashion team included Nordstrom Wedding Suite, The Tuxedo Club, SHOLDT jewelers and Off White Beauty.
Signage and print material was made by Impress Ink. Event Success and Countryside Floral created a wonderful ceremony area with an oversized wreath, lighting, apple garlands and ferns that went perfectly with the wine barrels and Willows Lodge's natural ceremony garden backdrop. Guests enjoyed tasty hors d'oeuvres from Barking Frog (including Apple Fritters with a Cinnamon Yogurt dip & of course their signature Grand Marnier Prawns were among the selection) and sipped Locust Cider or Matthews wine. Taking the cake or rather offering the cake tasting was New Renaissance Cakes.
The feature table with it's five foot tall centerpiece was a show stopper. Guests looked around the table to see Petersen's Rentals & favors from Knack.  Wonderful music from Bamboo Beats played in the background and lighting from Greenlight Design was the perfect added touch. Guests enjoyed talking to all the vendors including officiant Mary Calhoun and video team Traveling Tiger Productions.
Mini facials and hand massages were offered to guests from Willow's Lodge Spa team.

Fun was had by all!

Weddings In Woodinville 2017 - Hollywood Schoolhouse | B&E Lucky in Love Blog

2017 THEME - MINIMAL, YET DRAMATIC

"Minimal, yet Dramatic"... Wait, but how do those go together? Alex Chalk of Taylor'd Events Group showed just how at the Historic Hollywood Schoolhouse where guests saw how setting a strong base of minimalist elements - white cottons, silks, ceramics, woods, stone and top with dramatic elements can create a truly memorable experience. With a base pallete of whites, creams and greens they were able to pull from the gorgeous brick interior and topped their design with plum and dusty blush. By layering all these different elements on top of one another, it was easy to walk away with some subtle ideas of how to elevate your wedding day vision.

Weddings in Woodinville 2017 - JM Cellars | B&E Lucky in Love Blog

2017 THEME — HAUTE BOHEME

This year at JM Cellars, MG Davis Events presented Haute Bohème – a departure from the constraints of the modern world. In the style of eccentric French aristocrats fascinated by the bohemian way of life, we featured an eclectic collection of ideas for you to consider.

Take in rich time-worn textiles and lush flowers in a mix of pinks and lush greens pared with vintage European furniture and a few surprises from the Far East. Haute Bohème inspires you to express your adventurous, carefree spirit!
